Blogloves

This pageĀ is very much in progress.

my lovelies

jane @ don’t mess with imperfection

A good friend of mine who recently decided the join the blogosphere, though anonymously. “Jane” discusses her life in general, specifically her journey with weight loss, as well as her attempts to widen her literary horizons. And, yeah, there are boys involved, too.

molly @ barefoot punk

Molly recently moved from Portland, Oregon, to the middle of the ocean. She started working as a photographer on a crusie ship and she’s chronicling her time at sea. Her posts get wordy but you don’t notice it because she writes like she’s talking to your face and it’s entertaining. Molly is also courageously battling Lyme disease, and she openly discusses that as well.

rikki @ go go internets ranger

Rikki and I met while copy editing together at the Evergreen and have become close friends. She’s still going strong as she finishes her final semester at WSU, and she writes about her life in general – music, fuzzy animals, cooking adventures and, oh yeah, journalism.

yolanda @ cardis in the dunes

Yo is probably the best sister-in-law a girl could ask for. Aside from that, she’s an avid Cardigan Welsh Corgi show-er (as in, she shows them, she doesn’t shower them… yeah…) and is getting more into the breeding aspect of it as well. I got my Velvet (who, yes, is a pure-bred Cardi) from her, by the way.

lauren @ the off beat report

Lauren is pretty much living the life in San Francisco. She’s a beautiful girl, both inside and out, and she’s chasing her dreams in the social media biz. She takes some beautiful photos and has a lot of intelligent things to say. I’d listen if I were you. Someday we’ll meet in person. Someday.

joel @ on the other foot

Joel’s blog is the ONLY blog discussing religion I’ll read. And maybe it’s because I know the guy in real life and he’s a nice guy. Regardless, he doesn’t let his religion get in the way of using, you know, common sense. (Usually. :) )

allison @ graphic design

I worked with Allison at the Daily Evergreen, and pretty much fell in love with her as a person from the start. As of now (March 4, 2010), Allison hasn’t posted since mid-December. But the title of her blog is for good reason – I don’t know many people who are better graphic designers than Allison (if any).

brian @ not for attribution

I worked under Brian when he was editor-in-chief at the Evergreen. He is everything you would think a journalist would be. Except not a loser. He doesn’t post often but when he does, expect something related to journalism. Or maybe beer. But mostly journalism.

dan @ schade.nfreu.de

I didn’t get the chance to know Dan as well as other former Evergreeners, but if you’re looking for smart, witty, sarcasm, he’s your man.

dom @ go coug-sars

Dom, also known as Rikki’s SO (significant other), writes about… pretty much whatever the hell he wants. He’s pretty focused on stuff at WSU a lot of the time, but hey, that’s where he is and WSU is a hell of a lot more interesting than where I am at the moment. (But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t read here any more. Obviously.)

lisa @ the archives

I also worked under Lisa while she was editor-in-chief at the Evergreen. Lisa is a smart girl and is currently attending the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. She posts a lot of great photos and commentary on her experience in New York.

lynsi @ where you lede

Lynsi and I were copy editors together at the Evergreen. She likes journalism, politics and chasing after the ice cream truck. Also, she’s a pretty awesome girl.

melanie @ lady nerd

“Tales from an unapologetic and undeniable female geek traveling the globe. Her favorite topics of discussion include: the Internet, pop culture, technology, foreign cultures and Japanese culture.” Melanie is currently living and working in Japan. She recently ate whale (not to be confused with eating A whale).

nick @ stories on the run

Nick used to blog, but now he doesn’t (that I know of). I suppose he’s too busy being the Microsoft guy for the Seattle P-I. Go figure.

victor @ losefail

Victor hates and fears the internet, but spends a lot of time on it anyway. When he’s not busy breaking things, he enjoys ribaldry and claiming to be Batman. (His words, not mine. Victor doesn’t post often but he’s so smart/funny that oftentimes I don’t get it.)
